Oh yes, the new term has started. And this has gotta be the slackest semester ever, but well, I piled up quite some stuff to make it not-so-slack. Ok firstly, I’m underloading, only taking 17 MC. And secondly, I’m taking like only like 6 mc worth of Chem Eng modules. The rest are GEMs, SARTORS and the like. Science of music, financial accounting etc. (Final exam for Science of music = MAKE A MIDI!) So obviously level 1 GEMs are going to require much less effort to study than level 2/level 3 chem eng modules, which i’ve been taking for the past 3 sems, RIGHT??
Ok so seeing that I have so much time in my hands, I made a few decisions. Firstly I decide that if I do want to get baptised I have to start attending catechism class, no more delaying. Plus I think i’ll be going for a youth group in my church every week once in a while. Then, I agreed to give tuition to my old student (read: It’s A level physics so i HAVE to do some homework before going), and finally a group of us agreed to run every monday after lab followed by dinner. And then there’s the inevitable going out with friends every week occasionally. So effectively my Sundays are gone, and possibly half my Saturdays too.
The good thing is on odd weeks I have 2 days off, on even weeks I have 1 day off plus a 2-hour day on Wednesday. So I think i *should* have enough time to catch up on my studies.
And now on more catching up….
Anyway, CNY was quite different. We went to Johor, and I finally saw firecrackers for the first time. It was a BLAST playing with them. A “firework” meant to rise vertically, I will remove it from its support and lay it horizontally and then aim at an abandoned house in front. Small short-fused firecrackers? Tried exploding them in my hands. Big ones? Too hum, gave them to my aunt hahahaha. It’s my first time with firecrackers, hence the childish actions are forgiveable.
Hmm. Oh yes! I think I played over 20 hours of left 4 dead in a period of 5 days. Left 4 dead was freaking and surprisingly addictive. The best experience was that time when we played 4 v 3 versus (+1 computer controlled player). Yes we managed to get 7 of us together! But now after a period of not playing the game somehow not only the urge is gone, I actually don’t want to go back into playing it anymore. And it’s definitely a good thing.
What else? Ok spent the last hour or so watching Australian Open on computer. And I have a lab manual to read by tomorrow. So I should log off now!
